So I have been using this Mi Band 3 since the last four months now, and wanted to post a review on it since a long time and finally got the opportunity to do this as an assignment at The DMTI.
So apart from showing time the band has good number of features which includes
- Up to 20 days of battery life
- 0.78” OLED touch screen
- Call and Notification Alert: Read messages and receive call notification & alerts from applications such as Instagram, WhatsApp etc
- Continuous Heart rate monitoring, sleep analysis and advanced step tracking
- Find my phone feature: Ring your phone, if it is misplaced
- Keep the band on a silent mode
- And yes you do get a Stop-Watch
- 5ATM – Water resistant upto 50 metres
- Phone Unlock feature (Android Only)
- Get Idle Alert and Weather Forecast
- Devices with Android 4.4, iOS 7.0 or above with Bluetooth 4.0 and above
So talking about the watch sorry, its fit band so it has a very Easy to use Display were you get a home button to the down part of it and you just have to touch it and it will take you to the home and will show to the present time. You can use this home button to turn of your alarm or to receive calls and also to disconnect your calls. It has a 0.78-inch OLED 2.5D curved touchscreen display which is 85 per cent larger than the Mi Band 2 and comes with 193 PPI.
The strap which holds the actual device is also very fine and it has a good lock, The strap holds the device and locks at your wrist very well, I remember when I was riding at the highway at the speed of just 90kmph, I was literally afraid about the band that it wouldn’t have flew off my wrist because of build quality it is so light in weight that I was not able to feel the watch on my hand and also in many other situations as well.
Talking about the battery
Yes if you wear the band on just a standby mode just for watching the time and checking your BPM twice or thrice a day, the battery will last for almost 18-20 days. But since the last month when I joined a new gym and started using it’s features were it continuously shows me time and BPM and Calories burned and also the present time, the battery has started to drain a little bit faster, and I uses its feature for not more than an hour on a daily basis and battery life has been shorten for almost 10 to 12 days. This thing is acceptable for me and I am still using it.
The Heart Rate Scanner is very legit, at the beginning I was not sure that it will show my accurate BPM but it was almost correct, I measured my BPM by feeling my vein over my wrist which counted as 78 and later with the band which resulted 76. I was literally amazed with the difference and felt that yes this band worth it.
For a visual review of the MI BAND 3 I would recommend you watch my favorite Technical Guruji which will be in Hindi language
